Serving the Brazos River community since 1995
To protect and enhance the environmental quality of the Brazos River watershed through science-based management, regulatory oversight, and community partnership.
A healthy, sustainable Brazos River that supports thriving ecosystems, safe recreation, and responsible economic development for generations to come.
The Environmental Safety Management System (ESMS) was established in 1995 as a collaborative initiative between state agencies, local governments, and community stakeholders to address growing environmental concerns along the Brazos River.
Over the past three decades, we have developed comprehensive monitoring programs, issued thousands of environmental permits, and facilitated countless community engagement initiatives. Our work has contributed to measurable improvements in water quality, habitat restoration, and public awareness.
Today, ESMS on the Brazos continues to evolve, incorporating cutting-edge technology and data-driven approaches to meet emerging environmental challenges.
